Today, Jason O’Brien and I attended the Air Show as Kirtland Air Force Base celebrated its 75th anniversary. Attendance was free and a crowd of 100,000 was predicted–yeah, right. Maybe half that. It was hot on the runways but the aircraft were fascinating. Above, yours truly poses in front of a deadly drone. Unfortunately, the Air Force Thunderbirds had to cancel because of the wreck of one of their planes two days before–no once was injured in that crash.
