Well, it wasn’t my largest tomato harvest ever, but it was probably in third place at 80.75 pounds. When I was seriously microfarming in 2013, I harvested the all-time record at 302 pounds. This year because of our spring travels, I was a month late in planting, so I’m pleased with the yield. We now have frozen tomatoes, tomato sauces, and a couple of quarts of dried tomatoes. Here are some garden and harvesting shots. Above, our dining room table was turned into a ripening table.
- Some of the tomato plants grew to six feet.
- The perfect tomato.
- Dried tomatoes come out of the dehydrator.
